The problem
Warrantless AI surveillance of drivers' daily movements by automatic license plate readers throughout Denver is unconstitutional. Taxpayer money is going directly to violating our inalienable rights. We expect this from the president, but not from our mayor.

Issue an ordinance banning automatic license plate readers from tracking Denver drivers' movements through the city without specific judicial warrants.

The problem
Denver is home to 46 data centers in its city limits. The ecological impacts are many, including:
- The massive amounts of fossil fuels burnt to power them
- The heat islands they create around them
- The millions of gallons of water they use each month
- The unstudied effects of infrasound they produce
What Council can do
Pass an ordinance banning data centers that don't adhere to strict ecological requirements. The technology already exists to make data centers zero-water and carbon-neutral. These are the only types of data centers we should build in Denver.

The problem
The ACLU report on Drones as First Responder programs warns that drones are increasingly dispatched not just to violent crimes but to minor nuisance calls, like loud music, a water leak, or someone bouncing a ball against a garage. This trend normalizes routine aerial surveillance of public and private spaces.
Wired magazine did its own investigation and found that the public and private spaces most often being routinely surveilled were black and brown communities. AI drones entrench the disparities minority groups already face, every day, from law enforcement.
What Council can do
Vote on an ordinance to restrict AI drones from being used in Denver city limits, whether by governmental authorities or private citizens.
